Lotus Esprit V8 Turbo
Developed by Lotus to compete with the likes of the Ferrari 355, the Esprit V8 was the last in a line of sports cars that spanned nearly three decades. Its iconic “wedge” looks combined with the last engine Lotus ever built in-house make for a pretty special vehicle.
This example received an open exhaust, updated turbochargers, an improved cooling system, and a custom M&W-based coil-on-plug ignition system. Blow off valves were added to keep the turbos happy, and some of the more… interesting Lotusisms, like the massive Pontiac-sourced steering wheel, were replaced with items more appropriate to a vehicle of this sort.
